Position Summary

PECK Commercial Construction is seeking a Senior Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects throughout the Oklahoma City metro. This role is responsible for managing all field operations, coordinating subcontractors, maintaining schedule and quality, and serving as the primary on-site representative for the company.

We are looking for a superintendent who takes ownership of their projects, communicates professionally with owners and architects, anticipates problems before they happen, and consistently delivers high-quality work. This is a position for someone who can be trusted to run a project with minimal oversight while providing an exceptional experience for our clients.

This is not a traveling superintendent position. We are looking for someone who has established themselves in the Oklahoma commercial construction market, has a strong reputation, and wants to build a long-term career with a growing local contractor.

Responsibilities

• Lead all field operations from mobilization through project closeout.
• Coordinate and direct subcontractors to maintain schedule, quality, and safety.
• Develop look-ahead schedules and proactively identify and resolve conflicts before they impact the project.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional jobsite.
• Build positive working relationships with owners, architects, inspectors, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Ensure work complies with contract documents, specifications, applicable codes, and company quality standards.
• Review drawings, specifications, RFIs, ASIs, submittals, and contract documents to ensure the work is executed correctly.
• Conduct daily coordination with project management and communicate project progress, risks, and required decisions.
• Lead safety efforts, including jobsite inspections, toolbox talks, and enforcement of company safety standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports documenting manpower, progress, inspections, deliveries, weather, and significant project activities.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment needs, inspections, and testing.
• Represent PECK Commercial Construction professionally during owner meetings, design team meetings, and inspections.

Qualifications

• 10 years of commercial construction experience with at least 5 years as a Superintendent managing projects independently.
• Experience working for established commercial general contractors with a strong reputation for quality.
• Extensive experience in the Oklahoma commercial construction market preferred.
• Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors while maintaining schedule, quality, and client satisfaction.
• Strong knowledge of commercial construction methods, sequencing, plans, specifications, and building codes.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and construction management software.
• Experience with LEAN Construction or the Last Planner System is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to walk active construction sites daily.
• Ability to climb ladders, navigate uneven terrain, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
