JOB DESCRIPTION: Position directly supervises a mental health outpatient clinic, including adult case management and support staff. Provides effective leadership to coordinate needed supports to clinical staff to ensure efficient clinic operations and satisfaction of consumer needs and program objectives are met. Day to day clinic operations, reports, managing clinical staff, complaints/issues that arise, multi-tasking, taking calls, community events and items of that nature. Will handle crisis situations in a calm, effective manner. Participate in program development. Participate in quality improvement initiatives. Will exercise skills to oversee services, provide clinical supervision of mental health staff as well as evaluate clinical quality of mental health services provided in clinic. Utilize data to evaluate outcomes and service delivery. Will be responsible to carry out Center’s policies and procedures in an effective and efficient manner.

Excellent teamwork and collaborating with individual(s). Must be able to make effective assessments and interventions in situations involving mental health services provided to individuals. Includes administrative and facility management responsibilities. Under supervision of the Regional Mental Health Director.
Qualifications
Must possess considerable knowledge of principles, methods, procedures, and practices of community mental health services. Must demonstrate excellent organizational, planning, and communication skills. Ability to develop and maintain professional relationships with other staff, individuals served, and community agencies. Knowledge of agency and community resources and continuity of service options available to individuals. Capacity for flexibility in dealing with ongoing changes in the service delivery system. Proficient in the use of modern computing software, including use of an electronic health record.
EDUCATION: Master’s degree in a human services field, leadership, or management and must be able to obtain QMHP-CS credentials is required. An ability to gain knowledge of management and leadership, or previous experience, will be needed.
EXPERIENCE: At least two years’ experience in supervisory and program management experience, prefer experience in program management for community mental health.
LICENSES: Licensure as an LPC-A, LMFT-A, or LMSW under clinical supervision preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift at least 25 pounds, and reach overhead.
A valid Texas driver’s license and good driving record is required along with a copy of a valid auto insurance card.
Salary : $5,417 - $6,250
