Job Summary

Duties
- Lead and supervise staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating performance to ensure high levels of employee engagement and productivity
- Oversee daily operations such as inventory management, merchandising, pricing strategies, and stock replenishment to maximize sales opportunities
- Manage customer relations by providing outstanding service, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a welcoming experience
- Coordinate shift schedules, monitor sales targets, and implement promotional activities to boost profitability
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate goals, updates, and training initiatives that enhance staff skills and operational efficiency
- Handle cash management duties including cash handling, POS (Point of Sale) system operations, and reconciliation of daily transactions
- Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety regulations, and operational procedures at all times

Requirements
- Proven management experience or the skills and experience to take on the role
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong leadership qualities
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for retail math tasks such as pricing and cash handling
- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of marketing strategies and promotional planning to attract customers and increase sales volume
- Previous assistant manager or supervisory experience within retail stores is highly desirable
