What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dishwasher position at Pecan Craft Kitchen - FL?
The Dishwasher/Steward is the backbone of the entire operation, responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and proper sanitation of all equipment and upholding the visibility standards of our open kitchen.
Key Responsibilities:
· Dish & Glassware Sanitation: Efficiently scrape, stack, and wash all dishes, glassware, and silver using the dish machine, ensuring every item is spotless, properly sanitized, and air-dried before storing.
· Kitchen Support: Keep Line Cooks stocked with clean pots, pans, and cooking utensils throughout service to prevent operational slowdowns.
· Total Kitchen Cleanliness: Manage all kitchen waste, including removing trash, recycling, and oil bins. Maintains the cleanliness of all back-of-house areas, including the walls, mats, and the kitchen floors, ensuring they are consistently mopped, swept, and dry.
· Visibility Standards: Understands and executes cleaning tasks with the elevated standard required for an open kitchen concept, where all areas must be always presentable to guests.
· Equipment Care: Assist in the deep cleaning of kitchen equipment, including hoods, fryers, stovetops, and storage areas as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Highly motivated and able to handle physically demanding work, including standing for long periods and lifting heavy racks.
· Strong sense of urgency and ability to work quickly and systematically during peak hours.
· Reliability and punctuality are essential.
· A commitment to maintaining the absolute highest standards of cleanliness and safety.
· Physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods and ability to lift 40 lbs.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
