Design Validation Engineer (2+ Years Experience Required)

What Your Day Looks Like

  • Coordinating with design/test engineers and test lab personnel to align test objectives, schedules, and deliverables
  • Working with lab technicians to support test sample preparation and fixture setup, ensuring components are ready for evaluation
  • Tracking open test requests and monitoring progress to ensure timelines and program milestones are met
  • Reviewing and organizing incoming test data and results, ensuring proper documentation and traceability
  • Supporting the development and maintenance of test plans, DVP&Rs, and related engineering documentation
  • Assisting in the preparation of test reports and summarizing findings for engineering review
  • Participating in team meetings and contributing to continuous improvement of test processes and workflows

What YOU will Need:

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline required
  • 2–5 years of professional engineering experience in a product development, validation, or test engineering environment
  • Experience supporting a multi-disciplinary engineering team in a product or systems development context
  • Prior experience with structural testing (e.g., fatigue, durability, static load, or stress/strain measurement) preferred
  • Experience with heavy-duty drivetrain, powertrain, or axle systems is a plus but not required
  • Foundational understanding of mechanical structural analysis concepts (loading, stress, fatigue life)
  • Familiarity with common structural test methodologies
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
  • Familiarity with DVP&R, or structured test planning processes preferred

Pay: $85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
