Engineer 2 - The Inn at Spanish Bay (Full Time) Location 2700 17 Mile Dr, Pebble Beach, CA, 93953, United States Job Category The Inn at Spanish Bay, Engineering Description The Engineer 2 position assists in all Engineering operations of all Pebble Beach Company buildings and facilities. They perform repair, modification and preventative maintenance tasks on buildings, facilities, equipment fixtures and systems. Install, trouble-shoot, repair and maintain a wide variety of facility plumbing, mechanical and electrical systems. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform required maintenance such as lubrication, cleaning, filter change and the like. Assist in the moving of furniture, materials and equipment required. This is a physically demanding position which requires heavy lifting. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Install test and trouble shoot electrical components, controls and systems. Maintain all “Life Safety” equipment, including fire sprinkler system. Troubles shoot and repair all electronic controllers. Repair existing heating and cooling HVAC systems. Be able to calibrate sensors, adjust set points, and troubleshoot units. Be able to troubleshoot and fix a main dish machine. Perform boiler preventative maintenance and repairs on hot water units. Perform preventative maintenance asks on hotel mechanical systems, in the time frame specified. Repair and replace damaged plumbing systems. Interpret information from and enter data into computerized energy management systems. Monitor water chemistry and perform repairs on pool, filtration systems, and balance ph and chlorine levels off electronic controllers. Weld, solder, silver solder and braze in order to make necessary repairs. Perform carpentry work, includes the repair of doors and furniture. Respond to guest room calls in a timely way. Obtain information from command center alarm system and respond to emergencies. Implement emergency actions as described in “Emergency Procedures Plan” and according to established department procedures. Be able prioritizes work calls by importance and handle multiple tasks simultaneously thru completion. Needs to show up to work with a positive attitude and be able to work any shift and overtime if necessary Perform repairs on gas fired and electrical kitchen appliances and equipment, which include, ovens, pasta cookers, fryers, cheese melters, steamers, and garbage disposals. Maintain shop and engineering equipment in clean, neat and orderly way. Comply with all Pebble Beach Company safety and health policies and procedures. Be able to interact with guest in a professional matter that is consistent with Pebble Beach Company standards. Absolutely Required Skills: Knowledge of Lockout procedures important. Mechanical skills and engineering maintenance experience required. Able to perform carpentry and painting work. Able to work in a neat and orderly way, maintaining professional appearance at all times. Five years' experience in engineering or related fields, especially at a hotel or building complex. Valid California driver's license. High school diploma or equivalent. Desired Skills: Experience with a personal computer and computerized energy management systems useful.
