Duties
- Perform thorough patient assessments, including dental examinations and medical history reviews, to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Deliver a wide range of dental services such as general dentistry procedures, dental extractions, root canal therapy, prosthodontics, and endodontics with precision and care.
- Utilize dental imaging technology and adhere to aseptic techniques to ensure infection control and accurate diagnosis.
- Execute oral surgeries and other complex procedures while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Collaborate with dental assistants and staff in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize patient care efficiency.
- Educate patients on oral health maintenance, preventive care, and treatment options using clear, compassionate communication.
- Maintain detailed medical records using dental practice management software such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
Requirements
- Valid state dental license with current certification to practice dentistry.
- Proven experience in general dentistry, including pediatric dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics, prosthodontics, and dental fabrication.
- Proficiency in dental terminology, medical terminology, and medical imaging techniques.
- Familiarity with electronic health records systems such as Epic, Eaglesoft, or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, infection control protocols, aseptic techniques, and HIPAA compliance.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to assess patient needs accurately and communicate effectively.
- Experience working in a busy dental office or clinic environment is preferred.
