Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Optometric Technician to join our team. We will train you, no experience needed. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the optometric practice's daily operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical office procedures, patient intake, and optical experience, along with a commitment to maintaining high standards of care and confidentiality. We will train you in all of our processes and procedures.
Duties
- Assist with patient intake processes, including gathering medical history and vital signs.
- Perform preliminary tests and measurements to assess visual acuity and eye health.
- Maintain accurate medical records using EMR systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide education to patients regarding eye care and procedures.
- Support the optometrist during examinations by preparing necessary equipment and instruments.
- Utilize aseptic techniques to ensure a safe environment for patients.
- Manage front desk responsibilities, including scheduling appointments and handling patient inquiries.
- Assist with retail sales of eyewear and optical products, applying retail math skills as needed.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth clinic operations and excellent patient experiences.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in an optometric or ophthalmology setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with medical terms and we will train you and no experience needed.
- Strong communication skills with a focus on patient care and customer service.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $19.00 per hour
