Optician / Optical Sales/Technican

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Optical Sales Associate/Technician to join our dynamic team. The individual must be motivated to learn more about sales and the optical profession. The candidate must be comfortable interacting and engaging with clients in a professional manner. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a customer-focused attitude, and the ability to provide personalized eyewear solutions to our patients.

Please Note:
We are specifically seeking candidates with results-oriented Optical sales experience. If your background is limited to transactional or entry-level retail positions without a focus on customer engagement or consultative selling, this may not be the right fit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional customer service that ensures ongoing sales and high levels of customer satisfaction.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that meet their needs and preferences. Accurately measure and fit eyewear to ensure optimal comfort and vision correction
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
• Verifies order data entry and verifies Rx information provided from the doctor ensuring all information entered in the system is accurate. Complete proper order filing procedures, including filing the order under the correct system in the store.
• Takes measurements, assures correct frame selection for Rx power, timely notifies product readiness and advancement of the order in the system, receives, notifies, and dispenses each job, and properly handles all money-related transactions.
• Demonstrate exceptional product knowledge and accurately describe features and benefits of our lens selection.
• Adheres to all privacy and confidential policies and procedures (i.e. Health Information Portability and Accountability Act, known as HIPAA) as required by law.
• Individual (will be trained) will also serve as the local technician for our Telehealth providers including pre-testing, gathering patient information, operating Telemedicine equipment, completing forms, printing out prescriptions.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required)
• 3 years of experience in retail sales (required)
• 1 year of optical experience (required)
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and point-of-sale systems
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of vision insurance plans (preferred)
• Individual will be trained for Telehealth services
