Job description:
We are looking for a friendly, dependable, and professional Front Desk Patient Coordinator to join our Pearle Vision, Mt. Pleasant team. The ideal candidate enjoys working with people, is organized, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Optical or medical office experience is preferred, but willing to train the right person.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome patients and provide exceptional customer service
- Check patients in and out efficiently
- Verify vision insurance benefits
- File and process insurance claims accurately
- Schedule appointments and answer incoming phone calls
- Collect copays and process payments
- Assist the optical department with frame selection, dispensing, and patient needs when needed
- Assist technician with patient flow and other duties needed
- Maintain accurate patient records and ensure a smooth office workflow
Qualifications:
- Friendly, positive and professional attitude
- Excellent communication and customer skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Reliable with excellent attendance
- Experience in an optometry, ophthalmology, or medical office preferred
- Knowledge of vision insurance and insurance filing is a plus
- Willingness to work as a team and help wherever needed
