Responsibilities
- Greet and assist patients in a friendly and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls
- Schedule and confirm patients appointments
- Check and verify insurance information and benefits
- Assist patients with questions regarding their appointments, insurance, and their services
- Handle general front-desk and administrative duties
- Must be good with computers (Computer Savy)
- Communicate professionally with patients both in person and over the phone
- Work closely with optician, doctors and other team members to provide excellent patient care
- Help maintain a clean, organized and welcoming reception area
- Provide exceptional customer service and creative a positive experience for every patient
Qualifications
- Previous customer service, receptionist, medical and or optical experience preferred
- Comfortable answering phones and speaking with the public
- Professional and friendly communication skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn office/Optical software
- Ability to check and understand basic insurance information
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work a flexible schedule
Optical experience in a plus, but we are willing to train the right person.
