Competitive Soccer Coach — Girls Program
Pearland SC is currently seeking an outstanding soccer coach to join our Competitive Programs, with the primary focus of this position being the girls program. The coach will play an important role in developing our competitive girls teams, ensuring continued growth in both competitive performance and the individual development of our players.
The ideal candidate will have a strong soccer background and experience working with competitive youth players, with a particular interest and/or experience in girls youth soccer development. The coach will be responsible for delivering high-quality training, implementing the club’s methodology and curriculum, and creating a positive, challenging, and development-focused environment for all players under their care.
Coaching Duties
Assigned coaching responsibilities for 2–3 teams, primarily within the girls Competitive Pillar
Directly responsible for developing and managing assigned teams and players
Recruit, select, guide, develop, and evaluate youth soccer players
Develop and implement appropriate seasonal and periodization plans for assigned teams
Design and deliver high-quality training sessions utilizing Pearland SC methodology, curriculum, and player-development principles
Prepare teams for league, tournament, and other competitive matches
Attend and coach assigned games, tournaments, and team events
Monitor and communicate player development throughout the season
Collaborate with other coaches and technical staff to promote consistency across the Competitive Pillar
Contribute to the continued growth and development of the Pearland SC girls program
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Coaching or club leadership
Administrative Duties
Maintain timely and professional communication with parents, players, coaches, and club leadership
Complete all required team and player administrative responsibilities
Attend relevant club meetings, coaching education opportunities, and staff meetings
Complete session planning for scheduled training sessions in accordance with club procedures and methodology
Participate in player evaluations and development planning
Provide constructive feedback to players and families regarding development and performance
Support player recruitment and identification efforts, with a particular emphasis on strengthening the girls Competitive Pillar
Build and maintain positive relationships with players, families, coaches, and the Pearland soccer community
Work collaboratively with the technical staff to support the long-term development pathway for female players within Pearland SC
Other duties as assigned by the Director of Coaching or club leadership
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
The ideal candidate should meet the following criteria:
Demonstrated soccer coaching experience at a competitive youth level
Minimum USSF C Coaching License or foreign equivalent
Experience coaching competitive girls youth soccer strongly preferred
Strong understanding of player development and age-appropriate coaching methodology
Passion for developing female soccer players and contributing to the growth of the girls program
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work collaboratively within a professional coaching environment
Willing and able to work evenings, weekends, and travel regularly for games and tournaments
Must have a safe and reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, appropriate auto insurance, and a clean driving record
Successful completion of required background screening
Compensation
Salary Range: $36,000–$40,000 annually, based on coaching experience, qualifications, and overall fit.
