Job Overview
Opening for a Teacher / Care-Giver with experience in early childhood care / education, and a genuine passion for fostering a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children.
Being able to communicate well verbally and in writing, willing to learn, and being flexible in taking on tasks, is highly desirable.
Your responsibilities will include developmentally appropriate activities, and ensuring the overall well-being of each child in your care.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in your care.
- Engaging interactions with children that promote and stimulate learning and development in line with early childhood education standards.
- Monitor and assess children's progress, adapting methods to meet individual needs.
- Communicate with parents on children's progress, needs & any concerns that arise.
- Ensure compliance with HHSC Minimum standards and health & safety regulations, including first aid protocols.
- Keep assigned classrooms neat / organized, and tidy up/ sanitize each day.
Experience
- Previous experience working in a licensed childcare setting is preferred. Experience with multiple age groups is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of a good variety of room management techniques and positive behavior management strategies for a supportive learning environment.
- Good understanding of working cohesively and effectively with others, great interpersonal skills, and patience with colleagues and children.
Pay: $10.00 - $13.50 per hour
