Responsibilities

- Assist with patient assessments and intake procedures to evaluate behavioral needs and develop appropriate interventions
- Support clients during therapy sessions, ensuring safety, engagement, and positive reinforcement throughout activities
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, including progress notes, session reports, and medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Collaborate with families, caregivers, and team members to ensure consistency in behavioral strategies across settings
- Participate in training sessions on medical terminology, diagnostic evaluation, and behavioral health best practices to enhance service quality
Skills
- Strong knowledge of behavioral therapy techniques and principles of applied behavior analysis (ABA)
- Experience working with children or individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) or other developmental disabilities
- Proficiency in data collection methods and analyzing behavioral data for progress tracking
- Familiarity with medical documentation standards, HIPAA compliance, and medical records management
- Ability to perform patient assessments and support intake processes effectively
