Duties
- Lead and supervise the banquet kitchen team, ensuring smooth daily operations and high-quality food production for events.
- Plan, develop, and execute menus tailored to specific event requirements, maintaining consistency and presentation excellence.
- Oversee food safety protocols, sanitation procedures, and proper handling practices to comply with health regulations.
- Manage inventory control, monitor stock levels, and order supplies efficiently to prevent waste while ensuring availability of ingredients.
- Coordinate with event planners and service staff to ensure timely food service delivery that exceeds guest expectations.
- Train team members on food preparation techniques, safety standards, and service procedures to foster a skilled and motivated workforce.
- Assist in cost control measures by monitoring food costs, portion sizes, and waste reduction strategies.
- During slower weeks, assist the main line and concessions areas.
Skills
- Extensive banquet experience with a strong background in catering or large-scale event food production.
- Proven supervising experience with the ability to manage teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong knowledge of dietary requirements and ability to accommodate special requests within menus.
- Expertise in food preparation, kitchen management, inventory management, and food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff and promote teamwork across culinary operations.
- Fine dining experience with an eye for detail in presentation and quality standards.
- Proficiency in menu planning, shift management, cost control, and restaurant or hospitality management practices.
- Solid understanding of the food industry regulations related to food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
