What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sterile Processing Technician / Dental Auxiliary position at Pearl Ridge Dental?
We’re a privately owned, patient-focused dental office that values professionalism, kindness, and long-term relationships. We believe excellent dentistry starts behind the scenes, and we’re seeking a Sterile Processing Technician who takes pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and well-organized clinical environment.
This role is responsible for ensuring all dental instruments, equipment, and treatment rooms are properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, and procedure-ready before each patient visit. Responsibilities include setting up and tearing down rooms, following infection control protocols, cleaning and disinfecting operatories and work surfaces, sterilizing instruments using autoclaves, organizing and storing supplies, monitoring expiration dates, managing laundry, ordering and stowing supplies, and supporting general office cleanliness. This position serves as the infection control champion of the office and plays a key role in maintaining smooth patient flow.
The role also includes light patient interaction as a dental auxiliary, including greeting and seating patients, bibbing, gathering initial information, taking blood pressure, and assisting the dentist as needed. Additional support may include answering phones, taking messages, covering lunch hours, and assisting with general office tasks.
As we continue to rebuild and improve our practice, we value team members who are flexible, engaged, and take pride in contributing to positive change.
