Job Description
A Pearl Maintenance Engineer reports directly to the Chief Engineer and is responsible for fostering the Pearl culture within the Engineering department for Pearl Hospitality. A Pearl Maintenance Engineer must ignite the human spirit by creating unrivaled hospitality experiences fueled by fun, enthusiasm and compassion that challenge each person to unlock their own potential.
The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for the successful operation and administration of the Engineering department. The Maintenance Engineer must ensure that they are focusing on providing exceptional customer satisfaction by continually training on the Pearl touch points of the hotel and ensuring associate focus on our Pearl touch points at all times. The Engineering department must be executed at the highest level of professionalism and courtesy. The Maintenance Engineer must drive results through properly maintaining all building related systems and the building. The Maintenance Engineer must ensure that our associates and customers are always treated with the utmost respect since they are the key to our success.
Responsibilities – (not limited to)
- Passion and commitment to the department at an ownership level
- Ensure compliance with Westin brand standards as well as the Pearl standards and procedures
- Ensure hotel maintenance and cleanliness is maintained to the highest level with attention to detail
- Control cost through use and care of tools and equipment
- Must possess high energy, professionalism and confidence every day and in every way
- Be a highly motivated and enthusiastic
- Service hotel pool within the guidelines of the health department with proper documentation
- Maintain property in accordance with fire, building and health codes
- Maintain building exterior and curb appeal, lawn care, and gardening care
- Daily and ongoing hotel preventative maintenance program execution
- Attention to detail is a must for PM’s detail to ensure the highest quality standards
- Must be capable to successfully prioritize, delegate, organize and multi-task
- Must always be able to conduct daily business with integrity and be ethical
- Treat guest, associates, vendors and co-workers with professionalism and respect always
- Must maintain a safe working environment through ongoing compliance of safety guidelines
- Ensure understanding and proper execution of emergency procedures
- Execute PM’s on all hotel equipment in a timely manner to ensure safety and asset care
- Execute all work orders in a timely manner with follow-up when needed
- Ensure all work is execute in compliance with hotel and brand standards
- Interact positively with customers and take action to resolve issues to maintain high guest satisfaction
- Perform all surface preparation and painting, minor drywall, and wood trim repair, light bulb and A/C filter replacement and the complete and thorough clean-up of the painting area.
- Display basic proficiency in the following categories: air conditioning and refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry and finish skills, kitchen equipment, and/or general building.
Physical Requirements - (not limited to)
- Must be able to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, bend, crawl, reach above and below shoulders, repetitive arm and wrist use, climb ladders and stairs, and walk on uneven surfaces.
- Must be able to operate motor vehicle or provide transportation to travel to various properties in city.
- Must be able to see and hear.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing.
- Must be able to work around moderate noise level.
Salary : $17 - $20
