Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble food items efficiently while adhering to safety and sanitation standards
- Operate POS systems to process orders accurately and handle cash transactions with precision
- Provide outstanding customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and upselling menu items to enhance guest satisfaction
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, sanitizing workstations, and ensuring the dining area is inviting and organized
- Follow food safety protocols including proper food handling, storage, and sanitation practices to ensure quality and compliance
- Assist with food prep tasks in the kitchen or café setting to support smooth operations during busy hours
- Manage time effectively to handle multiple responsibilities while maintaining a positive attitude in a quick service environment
Skills
- Experience in food preparation, food service, or working in a quick service or fast-food restaurant setting
- Proficiency with POS systems for efficient transaction processing
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to upsell menu items confidently
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during high-volume periods
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Previous restaurant experience or familiarity with the food industry is highly desirable; retail or grocery store experience is a plus
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
