Job Description:
Pearl City Nursing Home is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our team. As a Respiratory Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality respiratory care to our residents. You will work closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to assess, treat, and manage respiratory issues and conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Perform respiratory assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer respiratory treatments and therapies as prescribed.
- Monitor and evaluate patients' respiratory status and response to therapy.
- Educate patients and their families about respiratory treatments and disease management.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program.
- Current certification or licensure as a Respiratory Therapist in the state of Hawaii.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility preferred.
