In this role, you will assist with the preparation, serving, and delivery of meals to our residents, ensuring their dietary needs are met in a timely and professional manner. This position offers flexible hours, making it ideal for individuals seeking on-call work.
Job Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing and serving meals and snacks according to resident dietary needs and preferences.
- Ensure that meals are delivered on time to residents in their rooms or dining areas.
- Set up meal trays, ensuring all components are in place, including utensils and condiments.
- Assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment after use.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation protocols at all times.
- Assist in inventory management, ensuring that food supplies are adequately stocked.
- Communicate with dietary and nursing staff to ensure residents' specific dietary needs are met.
- Help with special dietary requests or modifications as directed by the dietitian or healthcare team.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service or dietary aide work is preferred but not required.
- A passion for providing excellent customer service and working with elderly residents.
- Ability to follow food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Flexible availability and willingness to work on-call hours as needed.
- Ability to lift and move food trays and supplies when necessary.
