The Permit Coordinator will work with various jurisdictions, customers and their vendors, and internal teams to ensure the timely submittal and acquisition of permits. The Permit Coordinator will work with all required local, state, and federal jurisdictions to resolve any conflicts and will track multiple concurrent permit submittals. They are responsible for owning the permit schedule per job from start to finish to ensure SLAs are met.Core ResponsibilitiesPermit kickoff meeting with jurisdictionsCompleting jurisdictional conformance checksAccountable for ensuring SLAs and schedules are metOwn the permitting process on behalf of the customer(s) by ensuring all permits are identified, design vendors are coordinated, and all stakeholders informed of the statusIdentify and resolve conflicting permitting requirements when dealing with multiple jurisdictionsAccess various databases that provide engineering and facility assignment recordsWork with the permit team to resolve permit escalation and mitigations in a timelyDepending on business and client needs, specific duties may vary or evolve over time.Core ExperienceUnderstanding of OSP Telecommunications terminologyDemonstrate accuracy and thoroughness and look for ways to improve and promote qualityListens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; participates in meetingsFollows policies and procedures, completes administrative tasks correctly and on time, and supports the organization's goals and valuesDemonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, looks for ways to improve and promote quality, and monitors own work to ensure qualityMeets permitting KPI standardsHigh School Diploma or GED required1 years of college/ technical school or six months related experience and/or trainingExperience working with permitting agencies and experience with OSP telecom and/or utility buildsFamiliar with the process of acquiring encroachment, excavation, and traffic control permitsAbility to travel up to 20% of the time, travel may be required by air or vehicleMust have a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving recordAble to drive to permitting agencies' locations dailyDetail-oriented and able to maintain internal and customer tracking systemsAt Pearce, we are committed to fair and transparent pay practices.
