Our Opportunity:
The Infant Program is part of Peanut Montessori’s portfolio of Early Childhood Learning offerings and is responsible for guiding children ages 3 months – 1.5 years in a mixed-age classroom. This position is part of a team of experts who work together to foster a safe learning environment that nurtures children to grow at their own unique pace. Our Guides partner with each other in a cohesive team-based environment, and employees hired into the Assistant role will be paired with an experienced Lead Guide to learn the Peanut Way and develop their strengths inside and out of the classroom environment. What you’ll do:
The Assistant, Infant Guide will work closely with the Lead Guide and our community of enrolled families. This Assistant Guide will be expected to create a nurturing and positive learning environment for infant-aged children by maintaining a warm, safe, organized, clean, and appealing environment, and engage in meaningful infant communication throughout the day. This individual must maintain proper feeding, diapering, and play activities according to the developmental needs of each infant.
Your typical day would include partnering and discussing with your classroom’s Lead Guide on weekly curriculum, guiding children to learn at their pace, instilling a safe gross-motor play environment, facilitating appropriate feeding, and encouraging kindness through practical life skills development. Peanut Montessori emphasizes learning in nature and, weather permitting, expects outdoor time daily in our specialty designed Infant Playspace.

Experience:
- Over the age of 21
- Must have High School diploma
- Experience working with children < 1.5 years
- Understanding of the Montessori philosophy
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
Compensation:
Assistant Guides in the Peanut Montessori Infant Program receive a compensation package, which includes a competitive hourly rate and opportunity for performance-based annual bonus.

Schedule:
- FULL TIME
o Monday - Friday 7:45AM - 4:15PM
o 45 min lunch break
- Off every other Friday
