Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. This role requires a strong focus on safety, efficient route management, and proper handling of cargo. Prior experience with commercial driving, warehouse operations, and equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks is highly desirable.
Duties
- Safely operate box trucks and other commercial vehicles to deliver products across designated routes
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, or manual handling techniques
- Ensure accurate documentation of deliveries and pickups
- Maintain the cleanliness and safety of the vehicle at all times
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safety on the road
- Assist with warehouse duties as needed, including inventory management and moving stock
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Follow efficient routes to optimize delivery times and fuel consumption
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier, preferably with route driving experience
- Ability to operate heavy equipment such as pallet jacks
- Strong customer service skills with a professional attitude
- Experience with warehouse operations, including loading/unloading cargo and heavy lifting
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to commercial driving and cargo handling
- Ability to lift heavy items safely and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and efficiency
- Prior experience operating box trucks or similar vehicles is preferred
