As a Dietary Aide at Cedar Ridge, you play a vital role in providing our residents with nutritious, well-balanced meals tailored to their health needs and preferences. You’ll support the kitchen team in food preparation, service, sanitation, and inventory, all while ensuring a safe, clean, and welcoming dining experience that promotes our residents’ overall well-being.
Responsibilities:
Food Preparation & Service:
- Prepare and serve meals according to specified dietary requirements and portion sizes
- Follow recipes and maintain a clean, sanitary cooking environment
- Assemble meal trays accurately and accommodate resident substitutions as needed
- Serve snacks and beverages between meals as directed
- Assist with special diets, food allergies, and therapeutic meal plans
- Sanitize kitchen equipment, dining areas, and utensils regularly
- Clean serving areas, mop floors, and dispose of trash according to safety standards
- Maintain a safe, organized kitchen and food storage environment
- Collaborate with dietary and nursing staff to address residents’ dietary concerns
- Review menus and ensure trays match diet orders
- Help train new nutrition services staff and students
- Monitor and restock supplies to maintain appropriate inventory levels
- Compassionate & Patient: Deliver service with empathy and kindness
- Attention to Detail: Follow recipes and dietary guidelines precisely
- Team Player: Collaborate with coworkers across departments to meet resident needs
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of safe food handling and sanitation practices
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare dietary support preferred but not required—we will train the right candidate!
Salary : $13 - $14
