Position Overview

As a Dietary Aide, you will play a key role in maintaining a clean and organized kitchen and dining environment while collaborating with dietary and clinical teams to meet the individualized nutritional needs of residents.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of meals, snacks, and beverages in accordance with established menus, dietary guidelines, and therapeutic diets
- Serve meals to residents while ensuring compliance with food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards
- Set up, maintain, and break down dining areas to ensure a clean, organized, and welcoming environment
- Perform dishwashing and general sanitation duties to maintain cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas
- Follow all facility policies, dietary procedures, and applicable state and federal regulations
- Assist with monitoring and maintaining inventory of food supplies and kitchen equipment
- Communicate effectively with dietary staff and interdisciplinary team members to ensure residents’ nutritional needs are met
- Support participation in nutrition-related programs and quality initiatives as assigned
- Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate, resident-focused service
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
- Attention to detail with the ability to accurately follow dietary instructions, meal plans, and recipes
- Ability to follow established procedures, safety protocols, and sanitation standards
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform tasks associated with food preparation and service
- Dependable, organized, and capable of managing time effectively in a fast-paced setting
- Prior experience in food service or a healthcare dietary setting preferred, but not required
