Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) Security Infrastructure
Location: Onsite 3 days a week (Monday-Wednesday) in Cary, NC
Duration: 12 Months
Position Summary
We are seeking an SRE to support reliability, scalability, and operational excellence for a large-scale network security transformation initiative. This role will focus on monitoring, automation, operational tooling, and platform reliability throughout the migration program.
Key Responsibilities
- Support reliability of Fortinet security platforms.
- Develop monitoring and alerting capabilities.
- Automate operational processes and remediation activities.
- Support firewall deployment and migration activities.
- Drive process improvement initiatives.
- Participate in incident response and root cause analysis.
- Support infrastructure patching and maintenance.
- Assist with capacity planning and performance optimization.
- Collaborate with deployment and NetDevOps teams.
- Develop operational runbooks and procedures.
Required Skills
- 5 years of SRE, systems engineering, or infrastructure engineering experience.
- Python automation skills.
- Enterprise monitoring and alerting experience.
- Cisco networking knowledge.
- Fortinet experience.
- Incident management experience.
- Root cause analysis expertise.
- Strong operational troubleshooting skills.
