Essential Functions:

We seek a Road Saw Operator to join our growing team. Saw Cutters work under the direction of utility reconstruction performing physical activities in core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for operation and maintenance of large walk behind saw
- Maintain saws, equipment, and tooling.
- Verify measurements and cut depths are accurate.
- Utilize daily job brief and set up jobs accordingly with proper safety measures.
- Assist Crew Leader in physical labor at underground utility construction/reconstruction and maintenance work.
- Collaborate with supervisor and foreman to schedule work and safely perform saw cutting.
- Perform daily inspection paperwork daily and notify supervision of any issues.
- Adhere to all DOT Safety Regulations/Requirements
- Train others in safe efficient operation of equipment
- Complete misc. duties as assigned.
Success Factors:
- Ability to perform heavy manual labor for extended periods, often under adverse climatic conditions.
- Ability to lift up to 80 lbs multiple times during a work shift
- Ability to climb, dig, work in tight spaces, on uneven surfaces, walking, stooping, and kneeling
- Ability to understand and follow specific oral and written instructions
- Ability to work well independently and as a part of a team with co-workers
- Ability to pass motor vehicle, criminal background check, and comply with drug-free workplace policy
- English usage sufficient to keep records, place orders, and prepare simple narrative reports
- Willingness and ability to learn additional skills
Experience and Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent desired
- Experience working with underground utilities desired
- CDL A is a plus
- Bilingual Spanish/English is a plus
- Minimum two years of experience core drilling, concrete sawing, cutting and/or removal experience
- Must possess a valid unrestricted driver's license and have a good driving history
- Ability to work days/nights/weekends or out of town if necessary
- Required to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Proficiency in any or all of the following diamond or demolition tools: wall saw, core drill, flat saw, handsaws, ring saws and/or compressor tools
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
