A Lead Critical Equipment Inspector is a professional who evaluates the safety, functionality, and regulatory compliance of equipment that is essential for a company's operations, quality, or safety. This role involves performing detailed visual and non-destructive tests (NDT), analyzing data, and documenting findings to ensure equipment meets industry standards and prevent malfunctions, breakdowns, or accidents.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Effectively communicate and coordinate with others to ensure efficient use of all related resources including but not limited to: time, personnel, vehicles, tools and equipmen
- Schedule and complete work assignments in accordance with Oncor construction, maintenance standards, approved work practices and procedures within acceptable time frame
- Read prints, maps and schematic
- Accurately prepare, process and complete documents such as work orders, work requests and as-builts, both written and electronically, within acceptable time frame
- Ensure safe, quality, timely and efficient construction and restoration of Distribution project tasks and events.
- Participate in project meetings, pre-construction, during construction and post construction, as require
- Ensure proper accounting for material and equipmen
- Be available for emergency restoration situations.

Experience and Education:
- Experience with the operation and maintenance of system equipment such as capacitors, regulators, reclosers, transfer switches, Intelli-team switches, and other distribution line devices.
- Minimum seven to ten years of experience in energized line work
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
