Pay Rate: $22.00 - $24.00

Essential Functions:

The Design Specialist I will support the day-to-day general function for design operations. Will provide home builders with the design for natural gas and electrical services to new residential developments.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Provide new and existing residential and internal customers with sizing and pricing for Natural Gas and Electric Service Laterals
- Interpret and analyze drawings, diagrams, and maps
- Obtain service requests from builders using Geographic Information System (GIS) program
- Make appropriate calculations to determine meter size and type for installation
- Assign attributes of install for use by field crews
- Create quote letters, using standard formats
- Resolves discrepancies by collecting and analyzing data
- Act as primary contact for builders and serves as a liaison between builders and operating company
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Experience and Education:
- Two (2) years customer service experience is required
- Experience working with underground utilities is preferred
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year to year basis
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver’s License is required within two weeks of employment.
- Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
