Peak Property Management is looking for a dependable, experienced maintenance technician to help maintain apartments and rental homes throughout Grand Forks.
This is a hands-on position completing resident work orders, preparing vacant apartments for move-in, and helping keep our properties in excellent condition. We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates professionally, and can work independently.
Primary responsibilities
- Complete apartment maintenance work orders
- Diagnose and repair basic plumbing issues
- Replace outlets, switches, light fixtures, and smoke detectors
- Complete drywall repairs, painting, caulking, and minor carpentry
- Troubleshoot appliances and replace basic components
- Install flooring, doors, locks, blinds, and fixtures
- Prepare vacant apartments for new residents
- Document completed work and materials through AppFolio
- Communicate professionally with residents and office staff
- Maintain clean and organized work areas
Licensed or specialized work will be assigned to qualified contractors when appropriate.
Qualifications
- Previous apartment maintenance, remodeling, construction, or handyman experience preferred
- Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation
- Ability to work independently and manage daily priorities
- Comfortable using a smartphone-based work-order system
- Reliable attendance and professional communication
- Able to lift approximately 50 pounds
- Basic hand tools preferred
Schedule and compensation
- Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week
- Monday through Friday: 9-5
- Starting at $25/hour, with additional pay based on experience
- Occasional rotating after-hours emergency coverage
