Senior Generator Parts Specialist with extensive experience interpreting technical parts specifications, identifying replacement components and performing accurate parts lookup for all generator systems and components. Skilled in supporting maintenance, repair and overall operations for industrial, commercial and standby power generators including engines, alternators, control systems, fuel systems, cooling systems and electrical components. Proven ability to work with OEM catalogs, technical manuals, exploded diagrams, and cross-reference databases to ensure correct parts sourcing, inventory accuracy and minimized equipment downtime.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate daily operations with suppliers and service departments.
- Research generator parts through OEM manuals and online distributor portals.
- Prepare and calculate detailed customer estimates for repair and service.
- Manage and process warranty claims with manufacturers and vendors.
- Prepare technicians with correct parts and materials for field service and repair.
- Maintain inventory levels for all service departments.
- Manage purchase orders and track parts orders.
- Receive, label, organize and shelve incoming inventory.
- Technical support for service staff.
- Distribute correct parts to technicians as needed.
- Maintain professional customer and vendor communication by phone and email.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 5 years of parts department experience is mandatory.
- Extensive knowledge of diesel and gas engines.
- Strong understanding of generator components and service parts.
- Experience with equipment maintenance and repair support.
- Excellent customer service and vendor relationship management
- Strong computer, phone and organizational skills.
- Ability to research technical product information and parts specifications.
- Strong mathematical, problem-solving, written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's license.
