Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive strength and conditioning programs tailored to athletes’ needs, goals, and sport-specific demands
- Conduct assessments of body mechanics, physiology, and anatomy to develop personalized training plans that optimize performance and reduce injury risk
- Teach proper exercise techniques, ensuring clients understand movement patterns and safety protocols
- Lead group fitness sessions focused on strength development, agility, and functional movement
- Collaborate with sports coaches and personal trainers to integrate conditioning strategies into overall athlete development plans
- Monitor progress through regular evaluations, adjusting programs to maximize results
- Educate clients on injury prevention, recovery strategies, and healthy lifestyle habits to support long-term wellness
Experience
- Proven experience in sports coaching or personal training within a gym or health club setting
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and body mechanics essential for effective program design
- Demonstrated ability to teach physical education or lead group fitness classes confidently
- Experience in program development tailored for athletes or active individuals seeking performance enhancement
- Excellent communication skills to motivate clients and clearly explain exercise techniques
- Sales experience in a fitness environment is a plus, helping promote services and retain members
- Certification in strength and conditioning (such as CSCS or equivalent) is highly desirable; relevant certifications in personal training or fitness sales are advantageous
