Peak Partners is seeking to hire a long-term part-time Project Manager for our client who is a boutique management consulting firm. The Project Manager will be expected to operate in a dynamic dual-role capacity whereby they lead strategically but also remain hands-on when needed. The ideal candidate will have experience successfully coordinating and leading end-to-end project management activities. This position supports program execution while developing stakeholder-facing communication, governance documentation, and risk management strategies.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Lead day-to-day management of Agile or Waterfall projects across initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Develop project documentation (charters, schedules, risk registers, dashboards, etc.).
- Communicate proactively with internal team and client stakeholders to ensure alignment and transparency.
- Coordinate activities across multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
- Ensure tasks are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Support resource planning and budget tracking.
- Escalate risks and issues and facilitate collaborative resolution.
- Supervise and mentor Project Analysts and early-career team members.
- Prepare and lead regular status meetings and progress briefings.
- Leverage client’s tools including SharePoint, MS Teams, and Wrike to ensure coordination.
- Participate in quality reviews and continuous improvement discussions.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 to 8 years of relevant IT work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree required, master’s degree preferred.
- PMP certification preferred or ability to obtain within one year.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Demonstrated success leading small-to-mid-size projects or workstreams.
- Familiarity with ERP, digital transformation, or business process improvement projects.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), SharePoint, and project management tools.
