Position Summary


This is an on-site position based in Grand Forks, North Dakota, operating on a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule (Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM). Applicants must be able to commit to one of these shift schedules. Please confirm your availability before applying.


The Data Center Operator plays a critical role in the day-to-day operations of Peak Mining’s data center facilities. This role is responsible for supporting the deployment, maintenance, and troubleshooting of ASIC mining hardware, as well as related network and power infrastructure.

Operators ensure efficient and safe site operations by monitoring systems, performing preventative maintenance, repairing hardware, and supporting infrastructure deployments. This position requires strong technical troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively with site operations teams.

The Data Center Operator will also assist with equipment installations, deliveries, documentation, and maintaining an organized and safe workspace throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deploy, install, and maintain ASIC mining servers and related infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware and technical issues across mining equipment and supporting systems
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on machines and systems
  • Utilize monitoring software to track system performance and identify issues
  • Assist with deployment of new hardware, infrastructure upgrades, and system implementations
  • Support administration, monitoring, and maintenance of network and server environments
  • Accept equipment deliveries and assist with inventory tracking and RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) preparation
  • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and maintenance records
  • Collaborate with site leadership and team members to resolve operational issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Participate in troubleshooting and response to operational issues across the site
  • Assist with additional operational or technical tasks as assigned by the Site Manager


Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience working with computer hardware or technical troubleshooting
  • Experience collaborating with teams to complete operational or technical tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to take initiative in diagnosing and resolving technical issues
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently in a structured and responsible manner
  • Willingness to travel up to 30%


Preferred Qualifications

  • Completed technical training or education in IT, computer systems, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
  • Experience supporting IT infrastructure, servers, or network systems
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts (IP addressing, switches, cabling)
  • Familiarity with monitoring and maintaining network or server environments
  • Strong documentation and reporting skills
  • Experience in cryptocurrency mining environments
  • Familiarity with ASIC mining hardware and supporting infrastructure such as power distribution, cooling systems, and automation/control wiring


Physical & Work Environment Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs regularly and up to 65 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move equipment for extended periods
  • Ability to work around high-voltage equipment while adhering to strict safety protocols
  • Ability to work in all environmental conditions typical of industrial mining sites, including elevated noise levels, temperature extremes, and varying weather conditions
