CNC Metal Finishing / Deburring Specialist – Aerospace Machine Shop
We are a precision aerospace machine shop looking for an Metal Finishing / Deburring Specialist to support production of components for Aerospace, Defense, Semiconductor and Medical customers. This position can be first, second, or third shift and may be part‑time or full‑time based on your availability.
About the role
You will perform a variety of manual and semi‑automated finishing operations to remove burrs, improve surface finish, and complete final detail work on machined parts. This is hands‑on work that requires strong attention to detail, good hand skills, and the ability to follow detailed instructions and quality standards.

Responsibilities
- Perform finishing operations per job traveler routing, including hand assembly, pressing, sanding, deburring, bead blasting, washing, drying, and related tasks.
- Assemble parts with various inserts (pins, helicoils, etc.) as required per print and work instructions.
- Follow traveler instructions carefully and keep accurate part counts; promptly notify your supervisor of any count discrepancies.
- Log time and labor accurately in JobBOSS and complete job travelers correctly and legibly.
- Inspect parts during and after finishing; notify your supervisor if part condition is unacceptable due to improper handling, machining errors, or other defects.
- Use and care for tools and equipment properly, keeping your work area clean and organized.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (gloves, eye and ear protection, etc.) and follow all safety rules at all times.
- Adhere to departmental policies and procedures, quality and continuous improvement objectives, and all safety and environmental standards.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of hands‑on metal finishing and/or deburring experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and follow travelers, basic work instructions, and simple prints.
- Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for small, precision parts.
- Reliable, able to stand for most of the shift, and able to work your assigned schedule.
