Peak Health is a new, growing Medicare Advantage plan in West Virginia. The Community Outreach Representative is the trusted member in the field representing Peak Health within our communities. The Community Outreach Representative (COR) will build trusting relationships, be a resource for Peak Health Medicare programs, create lead opportunities that gain successful acquisition/retention outcomes and ensure locations are being scheduled to meet monthly goals. As a key member of our Medicare team, the COR will play a crucial role within the community along with partnerships both internally and externally. They will be responsible for helping to establish the relationships and results that drives our growth.
The ideal candidate will have a strong relationship building skill along with key contacts within the WV area already established specifically around Medicare. Additionally, the candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy with scheduling events and will have a roll-up their sleeves mentality around our opportunity within the community for both sales, retention, and education. Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- Associate's degree in healthcare, business, marketing or related field AND Two (2) years of experience related to Medicare Advantage
High School Diploma or equivalent AND Four (4) years of experience related to Medicare Advantage
- Valid Driver’s License.
EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:
- WV State Health Insurance License in good standing
- Two (2) years in a Medicare Experience (Both Medicare Advantage and DSNP) space working with strong relationships with the Medicare industry to include but not limited to community partners, gatekeepers, provider relationships and key influencers within the community.
- DSNP (Dual Special Needs) experience
- Develops and maintains a favorable relationship with the surrounding community organizations.
- Plans and facilitates outreach activities, special events, and presentations to generate quality sales leads in support of the health plan’s sales and membership growth goals and increase awareness of the health plan’s presence in the community year round, but more emphasis around AEP timeframe.
- Coordinates event logistics including reserving space, communication, distributing materials, facilities support and coordination with marketing to support proper advertisement of events.
- Builds relationships with community influencers and gatekeepers to venues where Peak Health Medicare Sales Agents can prospect and be a part of the senior population.
- Ensure market comprehension and adherence to Medicare marketing guidelines and compliance regulations.
- Assist Sales/Production Lead with certain programs with our External Agent Force around Sales & Retention.
- Deliver Medicare educational presentations at community events.
- Work with provider groups for co-op marketing.
- Track results and ROI on local marketing and efforts within the community.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to achieve intended results.
- Work closely with Director of Medicare around certain Sales and Retention programs.
- Determines type of event as defined by CMS and files events appropriately with CMS based on the Managed Care Marketing Guidelines.
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, and use standard office equipment for extended periods of time.
- Standard office environment
- Travel within WV primarily will be required to offsite meetings along with coverage in PA state as well
- Strategic thinking and attention to detail around relationships, sales & retention
- Strong Teamwork ethics with internal team along with agent force in field
- Knowledge of regulations governing Medicare Advantage and DSNP sales
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Understanding of the Medicare Advantage sales process Experience working with a CRM system.
- Strong attention to detail, organized and thorough with a desire for continuous process improvements.
- Extremely fast learner can pick up new content quickly and has knowledge of the Medicare industry and with DSNP population.
