Duties
- Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all areas of the facility
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing sanitation duties, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures
- Conduct manual handling tasks for moving furniture, supplies, or equipment following safe lifting practices
- Maintain facilities by reporting maintenance issues promptly to ensure optimal operation
- Follow safety protocols diligently during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents or injuries
- Provide excellent customer service by responding promptly to cleaning requests or concerns from staff or visitors
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven janitorial or custodial experience in commercial or industrial settings
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation standards, and custodial equipment operation
- Experience handling chemical agents safely with awareness of chemical handling safety procedures
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting with proper safety practices
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness in cleaning and maintenance tasks
- Excellent communication skills for effective teamwork and customer service interactions
- Familiarity with facilities maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus
