Peak Energy is looking for an Electrical Engineering Lead to join our our Energy Storage Systems (ESS) team and lead the development of our gigawatt scale battery electrical and controls systems. This role will own the rationale for and implementation of Peak's electrical systems design and will work with the other design and manufacturing teams along with external partners to provide design direction and engineering implementation leadership. This person is both a leader and a doer.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a talented team of electrical engineers in battery management, power conversion and electrical protection systems and supervisory controllers
- Contribute to system design and integration of Peak's HV energy storage product family, from early development through continuous improvement
- Contribute to the development of tools, infrastructure and design practices for a growing team
- Develop and manage electrical component requirements
- Strong ownership, ensuring success of testing, system integration, production, validation and production of Peak products
- Drive and participate in a culture of rapid prototyping and testing
- A great team spirit and get-it-done attitude. No job is too big or too small.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 8 years of experience working with HV systems
- Strong electrical and controls engineering fundamentals.
- Familiarity with high voltage system design.
- Proficiency in electrical engineering tools (e.g., SPICE, Altium, Matlab).
- Experience with design and manufacturing of medium to high volume products.
- Hands on prototyping, validation and testing experience.
- Passion for renewable energy, sustainability, and driving positive environmental impact through technology innovation.
- Eligible to work in the U.S.
- Strong knowledge of battery chemistry, BMS (Battery Management Systems) and relevant electrical and safety standards.
- Power electronics design experience
- Supervisory control design experience
- Utility-scale energy storage systems experience

Salary : $190,000 - $250,000
