Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Dermatology Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care within our dermatology practice. This position involves working closely with dermatologists and patients to ensure a smooth and efficient workflow while delivering high-quality service.
Duties
- Escort patients to and from the exam room, preparing the patient for their examination.
- Enter complete medical histories along with patients’ current medications into the chart.
- Assist the Physician/Provider in the room by scribing the notes in the patient’s medical record.
- Assist with setting up biopsies, excisions, suture removals, and cosmetic procedures.
- Prepare and collect path/lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments.
- Daily cleaning and organizing exam rooms, along with stocking the rooms.
- Laboratory maintenance that includes cleaning and autoclaving instruments.
- Other duties as assigned to the back office.
- Travel Requirement: This position requires regular travel between our Fountain Hills and Surprise location sites to support patient care and clinical operations.
Qualifications
- Must have 1-2 years of experience working in a medical office as a medical assistant.
- Willing to train the right candidate who is a recent graduate.
- Quality written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail.
- Strong phone etiquette.
- Teamwork.
- Professional in appearance and mannerisms.
- Able to demonstrate compassion and caring in dealing with others, patients, and co-workers alike.
- Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider’s instructions, and know when to seek information or advice.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working on electronic medical records.
- Dermatology and surgical experience preferred.

Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
