We are seeking a skilled Excavator Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience in operating heavy equipment, particularly excavators, in various construction environments. This role is crucial for ensuring the safe and efficient execution of excavation tasks on construction sites.
Duties
- Operate excavators and other heavy equipment, including dozers, loaders, backhoes, graders, and water trucks, to perform excavation and grading tasks.
- Conduct pre-operational checks on equipment to ensure safety and functionality.
- Collaborate with site supervisors and other team members to understand project requirements and timelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times.
- Perform horizontal drilling as needed for utility installation or other project specifications.
- Transport materials using dump trucks or tankers as required by the project.
- Assist in paving operations when necessary, ensuring quality workmanship.
Experience
- Proven experience operating excavators and other heavy equipment in a construction setting is essential.
- Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and the ability to operate various types of vehicles including dump trucks and tankers.
- Previous experience on construction sites is highly desirable, with a focus on teamwork and communication skills.
- Knowledge of Caterpillar machinery is a plus, along with any certifications related to heavy equipment operation.
