Key Responsibilities:
- Provide support in the entire lifecycle of matters for various legal practice areas, including personal injury law insurance defense, construction law, litigation, corporate law, real estate, and intellectual property.
- Draft and file legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and discovery requests/responses.
- Support attorneys with management of discovery including assisting with custodian interviews, managing document collection, and working with outside counsel and e-discovery teams for processing and production.
- Conduct legal research and analyze case law, statutes, and regulations to assist attorneys in case preparation.
- Assist with trial preparation and support, including organizing exhibits, preparing trial notebooks, and attending trial.
- Maintain organized case files, track timelines and deadlines, and ensure compliance with all legal procedures.
- Prepare subpoenas and manage subpoenaed documents, including review and summary of records.
- Review documents and depositions, create summaries, and assist with managing productions.
- Assist with document management, e-filing, and managing case management software.
- Act as a liaison with clients, opposing counsel, and other external legal professionals in a clear and professional manner.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and other paralegals to provide additional legal support, as needed.
Qualifications:
- 4 years of paralegal experience, preferably across multiple practice areas.
- Paralegal certificate from an ABA-accredited program, preferred.
- Expert in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe
- Proficient with legal research tools and case management software, such as Centerbase and NetDocuments.
- Highly knowledgeable of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with an eye for detail.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
