Job Title: Assistant Director of Gymnastics and Cheer
Department/Ministry: Gymnastics
Reports to: Director of Gymnastics and Cheer
Days Worked: Monday - Friday
Required Hours: 40 hours – ability to work nights and weekends as required

Job Summary:
The Assistant Director of Gymnastics and Cheer oversees the operational management of Peachtree Gym’s recreational and preschool gymnastics, cheer, and tumbling program, in addition to the competitive gymnastics/cheer program.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Schedule and conduct staff training sessions for Continuing Gymnastics Education
- Conduct equipment safety checks
- Orient new coaches on policies & procedures, training methods, and safe spotting practices
- Creates compelling and effective marketing ads/images
- Assist with client registration, payment collections, and customer service administrative tasks
- Confirms staff assignments
- Supervises and contributes to the creation of recreational and preschool lesson plans
- Oversees account receivables for private lessons and monthly payment clients
- Assist with maintaining a clean, professional environment including, but not limited to: the gymnastics lobby, bathrooms, classrooms, gymnastics center and office
- Evaluate students for change of class or competitive team placement
- Assist with creation, planning and expanding departmental programs
- Trained to fulfill all duties and responsibilities of the Director of Gymnastics & Cheer in event of director’s absence
Required Skills/Abilities:

Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- USAG or USASF certified or be able to obtain certification within 60 days of hire
- First Aid and CPR Certified or ability to obtain within 60 days of hire
Desired Skills and Certifications
- USA Gymnastics Professional Membership or USASF Professional Membership
- USA Gymnastics Safety and Risk Management Certified
- USA Gymnastics U100 Fundamentals of Gymnastics Certified
- CPR and First Aid Certified
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Be able to be on feet for extended periods of time
Travel:
Position requires minimal travel. Expected to travel to support competitive programming and for various off-site planned functions with Peachtree Church.
