Duties
- Assist in managing daily kitchen operations, including food preparation from scratch, and presentation to meet high-quality standards.
- Supervise and train kitchen staff on food safety protocols, proper food handling, and efficient cooking techniques.
- Oversee inventory control by monitoring stock levels, ordering supplies, and minimizing waste to optimize food costs
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations related to food safety management and sanitation practices.
- Support shift management by coordinating staff schedules, assigning tasks, and ensuring timely service during busy hours.
- Collaborate with management on food production planning, profit and loss analysis, budgeting, and overall restaurant management.
Requirements
- Proven experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments with strong knowledge of food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in a hospitality or restaurant setting with team management and staff training responsibilities.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for sales transactions and cash handling.
- Solid understanding of food safety standards, inventory control, and food handling procedures.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Previous experience in casual dining or fine dining establishments is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership qualities with the ability to motivate teams, interview potential staff members, and support their development.
