Peachtree Academy is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. The ideal candidate will bring a passion for mathematics and a proven ability to engage students in critical thinking, problem-solving, and a love for learning. This educator will create an engaging classroom environment that supports academic growth while nurturing character development within our Christ-centered community. The Middle School Math Teacher will deliver high-quality instruction aligned with academic standards, encourage curiosity, and help students build a strong mathematical foundation that prepares them for future success. The successful candidate is collaborative, organized, and committed to supporting the mission of Peachtree Academy by partnering with families and colleagues to inspire excellence in every student.
Duties
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach math courses for grades 6–8, including Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, and possibly Geometry
- Create and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student learning needs
- Use a variety of assessments to evaluate student progress and inform instruction
- Maintain regular communication with students, parents, and colleagues
- Participate actively in the school community, including attending staff meetings and school events
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or related field (Master’s preferred)
- Valid or eligible teaching certification
- Experience teaching middle school mathematics in an accredited school preferred
- Strong classroom management and student engagement skills
- Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching strategies into instruction
- Commitment to working in a Christ-centered educational environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
