Position Summary
Peachtree Academy is seeking an experienced, passionate, and Christ-centered Academic Dean to provide visionary leadership and oversight of the school’s academic programs from Pre-K through 12th grade. The Academic Dean will ensure instructional excellence, curriculum alignment, teacher development, academic accountability, and student success while fostering a culture that reflects biblical values and the mission of the school.
The ideal candidate is a servant leader who is committed to Christian education, possesses strong organizational and leadership skills, and has a proven record of improving student achievement through effective instructional leadership.
What You'll Do
Essential Responsibilities
Academic Leadership
- Provide leadership and oversight of all academic programs and curriculum.
- Ensure curriculum aligns with national and state standards, accreditation requirements, and the school’s biblical worldview.
- Monitor instructional quality and promote academic excellence throughout the school.
- Lead curriculum review, textbook selection, and instructional improvement initiatives.
- Analyze student achievement data to improve instructional outcomes.

- Foster a positive, collaborative, and Christ-centered faculty culture.
Student Achievement
- Monitor academic progress of students.
- Develop intervention strategies for struggling learners.
- Collaborate with teachers and parents to improve student performance.
- Oversee academic support services and enrichment opportunities.
School Operations
- Assist the Head of School with daily campus operations.
- Develop master schedules and coordinate academic calendars.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards and educational regulations.
- Participate in strategic planning and continuous school improvement initiatives.
- Assist in implementing school policies and procedures.
Parent & Community Relations
- Build positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, and the community.
- Meet with parents regarding academic concerns when necessary.
- Communicate effectively regarding curriculum, academic expectations, and student progress.
- Represent the school professionally during events and meetings.
Spiritual Leadership
- Model a vibrant Christian faith and biblical character.
- Support the mission and vision of the school.
- Encourage spiritual growth among students and faculty.
- Participate in chapel services, prayer, and other school ministries.
- Integrate biblical principles into leadership and decision-making

About Peachtree Prep, our Early Childhood Division
The early childhood division of the school bases its academic program on a weekly unit of study for academic advancement. Teachers use lesson plans to guide the delivery of information and address individual issues of advanced skill levels or areas of improvement that are needed. Parents may supplement the curriculum by bringing in books, materials, or ideas related to the theme for the benefit of the class.
