Sanitation Aide

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Sanitation Aide to join our team and uphold the highest standards of cleanliness and safety within our facility. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining a hygienic environment by performing industrial cleaning tasks, handling chemical agents safely, and ensuring compliance with sanitation protocols. Your efforts will directly contribute to a safe, efficient, and compliant workspace that supports food production, manufacturing, or warehouse operations. Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning of production areas, equipment, and facility spaces using appropriate cleaning techniques and tools.
• Handle chemical agents safely, following all chemical handling safety procedures and using personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
• Conduct sanitation procedures in accordance with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards to ensure product safety and quality.
• Use respiratory protection and other PPE correctly during cleaning tasks involving hazardous substances or dust.
• Maintain cleanliness of janitorial supplies, equipment, and storage areas while adhering to industrial cleaning protocols.
• Assist with waste disposal, ensuring proper segregation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste materials.
• Support food processing or manufacturing operations by maintaining sanitary conditions in compliance with health regulations.

Skills

• Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or janitorial services within industrial or food production environments.
• Knowledge of chemical agent handling, safety procedures, and proper use of PPE.
• Familiarity with GMP standards, sanitation protocols, and industrial cleaning techniques.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during cleaning tasks or when moving supplies/equipment.
• Experience working in food processing, manufacturing, or warehouse settings is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining high hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication skills to follow instructions accurately and collaborate effectively with team members.

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
