Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable History/English Tutor to join our team. As a Tutor, you will have the opportunity to help students achieve their academic goals and enhance their learning experience.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one tutoring sessions to students in various History/English subjects
- Develop plans based on students' needs and learning styles
- Assist students in understanding complex concepts and improving their study skills
- Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
- Collaborate with other tutors and staff to support student learning
- Utilize creative teaching techniques to engage students and make learning enjoyable
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, History/English, or related field
- Previous tutoring or teaching experience required
- Proficiency required in subjects such as US History, World History, Social Studies, English.
- Proficiency preferred in subjects such as SAT Prep a plus
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience working with students in high school
- Ability to develop lesson plans tailored to individual student needs
