Position Summary -Sprays surfaces of trucks, buses, vans or other vehicles a assigned with protective or decorative material, such as paint, enamel, glaze, gel-coat, or lacquer, using spray gun.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Review repair estimates for painting instructions and create plan to perform work.
- Provide proper tools and tool storage for performing assigned tasks.
- Disassemble and re-assemble of truck parts and accessories for access to painted surfaces.
- Sand, prime and prep painted surfaces for painting.
- Operating air operated sanding and grinding equipment
- Perform all taping and masking in a professional manner to insure a quality and acceptable finished product.
- Ability to identify that surfaces are paint ready before applying paint products
- Proper training for applying paint products and knowledge of paint mixing procedures.
- Operating pressurized spray equipment
- Familiar with safety equipment for painting, respirators, body protection ect.
- Ability to provide a quality and acceptable paint finish for all paint assignments
- Other duties as assigned
