HVAC SERVICE TECHNICIAN - RESIDENTIAL AND COMMERCIAL
Peach State Air Conditioning (Statesboro, Metter, Claxton, Sylvania, Millen, Pembroke)
Additional responsibilities include:
- Informing supervisors of job progress and issues
- Responding to emergencies and complex service calls, including driving to Customer sites, greeting Customers, troubleshooting, and diagnosing/resolving problems.
- Describing options and costs, obtaining approval, and making repairs.
- Performing Preventive Maintenance
- Repairing Complete Systems.
- Checking condensation drain lines to ensure freedom from debris and proper drainage.
- Documenting services, explaining guarantees/warranties, and collecting/recording and delivering fees to the office.
- Ensuring that all repairs and installations are accurate, serviceable, and meet safety and regulatory standards and codes.
- Promoting service agreements and offering assistance with financing of service costs and installations.
What You Need to Succeed and Grow with the Pros
Required Credentials:
- Experience in HVAC service in addition to training, or equivalent combination of experience and advanced training.
- If for Commercial HVAC and Refrigeration - Two (2) years' experience as Commercial HVACR Service Technician.
- Advanced knowledge of electrical and gas diagnostics and air flow
- Ability to troubleshoot malfunctioning heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems to determine the cause of the malfunction
- Current driver’s license with a good driving record
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Demonstrate the ability to use current Android technology for communications and field reporting.
- A willingness to work until the last job of the day is done
- Willingness and ability to work evenings and weekends
- Strong communications/interpersonal skills
- The ability to regularly move, lift, and carry objects weighing up to 100 pounds, including ductwork, furnaces, and related materials
- An honest and gentle approach with all of our customers
Required license or certification:
- EPA Certification
