Heavy Equipment Operator/Asphalt Operator

Job Summary
We are a builders along with asphalt and excavation contractors seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Equipment Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience operating various types of heavy machinery and a strong understanding of asphalt operations. This role is essential for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of equipment on job sites, establishing grades, reading plans, installing infrastructure, prepping for asphalt, and installing asphalt

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment including skid steers, excavators, asphalt rollers, tracked loader, and asphalt paver.
• Perform routine maintenance checks and greasing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Dig, build, and shape land as required for construction projects.
• Follow safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
• Collaborate with team members to coordinate tasks and ensure project timelines are met.
• Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues as they arise and report any significant problems.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation, particularly with skid steers, excavators, rollers, asphalt equipment.
• Asphalt experience is a must.
• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is a bonus.
• Strong mechanical knowledge to perform basic repairs and maintenance on equipment like greasing and checking fluids.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions and physically demanding environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to following safety guidelines.
