Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide exceptional support and assistance to clients in their own homes. This role involves delivering personalized care to individuals with various needs, including seniors, those with disabilities, or individuals requiring specialized memory or dementia care. Duties
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Provide medication reminders and administer medications following care plans and HIPAA guidelines
- Monitor vital signs and observe patient conditions to report any changes to healthcare professionals
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Support patients with cognitive impairments including Alzheimer's and dementia through memory care techniques
- Operate lift equipment such as Hoyer lifts safely to transfer residents with mobility challenges
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by performing light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and organizing
- Follow individualized care plans developed by healthcare professionals or social workers
- Document patient progress and communicate effectively with family members and healthcare teams
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, including CPR and first aid procedures
Experience
- Prior experience in home & community care, assisted living, nursing homes, or hospice care preferred
- Knowledge of patient observation, monitoring vital signs, medication administration, and care planning is desirable
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy
- Hands-on experience with patient care tasks including assisting with ADLs, meal preparation, and light housekeeping
- Strong interpersonal skills for working effectively with seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those requiring specialized memory or hospice care
- Previous roles involving social work or long-term care demonstrate a commitment to compassionate caregiving
